Statement

My work is a response to the seemingly mundane, a way of reinterpreting the world. Seen through a different lens, these hidden gems that we often brush past are transformed and given a new sense of life, of emotion, of structure and colour. They invite the viewer to embark on a journey of discovery and to reassess the art of tapestry.  My designs are influenced by the forms of late Modernism, as well as those of the Bauhaus weavers.

Biography

Since completing the Developing Skills and Creative Language in Tapestry Weaving Course at West Dean College of Art and Conservation, I have been developing my practice from a home studio. My work has been shown in UK and Australia, including at Heallreaf International Tapestry Exhibitions, the Irene Davis Small Tapestry Prize and the Cordis Prize Showcase.
